Why This Exists
The Skills That Got You Here
Will Not Get You There

The promotion ceiling at the director and VP level is not a performance problem. The professionals who hit it are almost always among the strongest performers at their level — technically sharp, operationally reliable, consistently delivering. The ceiling is a positioning and influence problem. And it responds to a completely different set of skills than the ones that built the career so far.

Most leadership development programs are built for people who have already been promoted — who are learning to lead after receiving the title. The Promotion Intensive is built for the moment before. The 90 days before the conversation. The 90 days that determine whether it happens at all.

For immigrant and first-generation professionals this gap is particularly acute. The unwritten rules of executive advancement — how sponsorship is built, how visibility is earned, how organizational influence is developed at the senior level — were never explained. This program makes them explicit.

Not executive coaching
Coaching is open-ended and relationship-dependent. The Promotion Intensive is a structured program with a specific outcome target and a 90-day execution timeline.
Not a leadership course
Leadership development programs teach you to lead after you have the title. This program is built for the 90 days before — when the promotion decision is actually being made.
Not general career advice
"Build your network." "Get a mentor." "Be more visible." The Promotion Intensive replaces those generalities with specific frameworks, specific actions, and a specific 90-day plan built around your situation.
A structured promotion framework
Six modules. A documented 90-day plan. Built for professionals who are at the threshold and need a clear, specific, accountable path to getting over it.
Who This Is For
A Specific Professional at a Specific Moment

The Promotion Intensive is not for professionals who are still working toward six figures. It is for those who are already there and ready for what comes next.

💼
You are earning $110K+ and the promotion has not come
You have reached senior individual contributor or manager level through consistent performance. The next move — director, VP — has not happened despite your results. Something structural is working against you and you do not have a clear picture of what it is.
🏢
You are inside a large organization
Promotion dynamics in enterprise environments are different from small companies. The political and social architecture of large organizations requires a specific framework — not generic advice that works everywhere and nowhere at the same time.
🔄
You have been passed over at least once
You know what it feels like to watch someone with less experience or fewer results move up while you stayed put. You are not here for motivation. You are here for a framework that explains what happened and what to do differently.
🌍
You are an immigrant or first-generation professional at senior level
You have outperformed expectations to get to where you are. The next level has a different set of unwritten rules — around visibility, sponsorship, and organizational influence — that this program makes explicit.
This is not for you if —You are still working toward your first six-figure role (start with the NSTAR Practitioner Programs), you have fewer than 5 years of professional experience, or you are looking for a general leadership development program. The Promotion Intensive is designed specifically for the professional at the $110K+ threshold who is ready to move into director or VP territory within the next 12 months.
What You Leave With
Three Deliverables. One Clear Path.

You do not leave the Promotion Intensive with notes and insights. You leave with three working documents that form the foundation of your next 90 days.

01
Your Promotion Readiness Assessment
A structured, honest evaluation of your current positioning relative to where a director or VP candidate needs to be. Identifies your specific gaps, your existing strengths, and the levers that will actually move the promotion decision in your organization.
02
Your Visibility & Sponsorship Map
A documented picture of your current organizational visibility — who sees your work, who advocates for you, and who controls promotion decisions. Built during the program with specific actions to close the gaps between where you are and where you need to be.
03
Your 90-Day Promotion Plan
A sequenced, week-by-week execution plan built around your specific situation — your organization, your manager, your gaps, and your opportunities. Not a template with your name filled in. A plan built for you, by you, during the program.
The 90-day plan is the product. Everything else in the program — the frameworks, the modules, the assessments — is infrastructure for building a plan that you will actually execute. You leave with something you can act on the following Monday morning.
Curriculum
Six Modules. One Objective.

Every module is pointed at a single outcome — your promotion. The curriculum moves from assessment to strategy to execution across six focused sessions.

01
Promotion Readiness Assessment
The five dimensions of promotion readiness — performance, visibility, relationships, positioning, and timing
An honest audit of where you are on each dimension and what the gap actually is
Why high performance is necessary but not sufficient — and what the gap between performance and promotion actually represents
02
Executive Presence & Visibility Strategy
What executive presence actually means at director and VP level — and how it differs from what got you here
How to build visibility at the level you are targeting, not the level you are in
The specific moments and contexts where promotion decisions are made — and how to be present in them
03
Sponsorship Development
The difference between mentors and sponsors — and why most professionals at this level have the wrong one
How to identify the people who control or influence your promotion decision
How to build sponsor relationships deliberately — without it feeling transactional or forced
04
Organizational Influence
How decisions are actually made at the senior level in enterprise organizations
How to contribute to strategic conversations before you have the title that formally invites you to them
Building credibility and influence across organizational levels — including levels above your current one
05
The Promotion Conversation
When and how to initiate the promotion conversation — most professionals wait too long and frame it wrong
How to respond when the answer is "not yet" — what to ask, what to document, and what to do next
Navigating the conversation as an immigrant or first-generation professional in a corporate environment
06
The 90-Day Plan
Building your specific, week-by-week execution plan based on everything from modules 1 through 5
Setting measurable milestones and accountability checkpoints for the 90 days ahead
What happens after 90 days — how to assess progress and what to do if the promotion has not yet materialized

Common Questions
What Professionals Ask Before Enrolling
Executive coaching is open-ended, relationship-dependent, and often takes months to produce actionable output. The Promotion Intensive is a structured six-module program with a specific 90-day outcome target. You do not need a long-term coaching relationship — you need a clear framework and a specific plan. The Promotion Intensive produces those two things in a defined program window.
Most programs that claim to address promotion challenges are either generic leadership development (which teaches you to lead after the promotion, not before it) or motivational in nature (which addresses energy, not strategy). The Promotion Intensive is built around the specific structural gap between strong performance and promotion — the positioning, visibility, and influence gap that high performers hit at the senior level. If you have done generic leadership programs and generic career advice and neither worked, it is likely because neither addressed that specific gap.
The 90-day plan is not a guarantee that your promotion will happen in 90 days. It is a 90-day execution framework that positions you for the promotion when the window opens — which may be at your next review cycle, your next performance conversation, or whenever your organization makes that decision. The goal is to ensure that when the window opens, you are the obvious choice. The 90 days of positioning work happens regardless of the promotion timeline.
No. The Promotion Intensive is open to any professional who meets the audience criteria — earning $110K+ and targeting director or VP level inside a large organization. NSTAR Practitioner Programs graduates receive priority status on the interest list, but completion of Tier 2 is not a requirement for Tier 3 enrollment.
The Promotion Intensive is led by Nnamdi and Stella Ihenacho — co-founders of NSTAR Technologies. Both have navigated executive advancement in enterprise organizations as immigrant professionals and have spent years working directly with senior professionals at this specific inflection point. Faculty details and program format will be shared with interest list members before enrollment opens.
The program is cohort-based and not self-paced. Promotion strategy benefits from peer context — being in a cohort with other senior professionals navigating the same transition produces better plans than working through material alone. The cohort structure, session cadence, and format will be confirmed and shared with interest list members before enrollment opens.
Refund and cancellation terms will be published in the enrollment agreement before payment is collected. No payment is required to join the interest list. All financial terms are confirmed during the enrollment process before any commitment is made.
